Minutes of Meeting held on December 1,2009
 
 
Our meeting was called to order by President Ray Coulter who opened with prayer. It was noted that Clyde Graham is turning 46 and in honor of the occasion, the club sang "Happy Birthday" and cake was enjoyed during the meeting.
 
Steve Lesley presented the Treasurer's report with a balance of $809.70 in the bank and $25 in petty cash. He reported that the raffle had netted $2105.00 and depending on the purchase price of the gun, we should be able to donate from $1200 to $1500 to Special Olympics.
 
The drawing for the gun was held and Kedar Abaied drew the winning ticket. The winner was Caleb Herring, 16 yr old grandson of Wardell and Gwen Herring.
 
$110 was collected for the 50/25/25. With 50% going to the club and 25% going to winner Carolyn Huckabee and 25% going to winner Bob Grobe.
 
Ramona Lesley announced that the time for the Christmas Party had been changed from 7:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 5th.
 
Ray remembered George Burgess, our member who was killed in a motorcycle accident two weeks before. He recognized Clyde and his effort to get a memorial headstone for George on the Remembrance Wall.
 
Raymond Walters announced Open House at Got Gear on Friday from 5:30 - 8:30 pm.
Ray asked for suggestions for a needy family to help at Christmas. John Gray suggested Tammy Moore who has 3 children and is living in a motel due to a house fire. Susie Dickson made the motion to adopt this family and it was seconded.
 
New Officers were voted on and the incoming officers are: Ray Coulter, President; Jean Grobe Secretary; Steve Lesley, Treasurer; Vernon Moore, Vet Rep; and Carolyn Huckabee, Lady of the Star. Ray Announced that John Gray will continue this year as Vice President
and Rodney Huckabee will continue as Sergeant at Arms.
 
It was briefly discussed that due to the change in the format of the restaurant, we would most likely change our meeting place. Ray will let us know where to meet for our January meeting.
 
John Gray announced that we would be presenting the check to the Special Olympics next Friday and he would like everyone to be there who could for pictures and the presentation. He also mentioned that we would be included in the Special Olympics parade in May or June of 2010. A poker run for Special Olympics was also mentioned.
 
Pete Breslin asked what we did for the family of George Burgess and it was announced that we sent a European Garden to the family.
 
Susie Dickson requested a moment of silence in honor of George Burgess and led the club in prayer.
 
Clyde announced the web site is up and we all need to register.
 
Rodney and Carolyn are working on a medical card for members that should be ready by the first of the year.
 
John Gray is planning a mountain trip in June. He is working on the routing of several rides and motel accommodations. He will let us know.
 
Rodney Huckabee is working on a group train ride in April, either to Memphis or New Orleans. He will let us know.
 
Ray reminded all that January is Charter Signing at our monthly meeting. The meeting will be held on January 5, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. - meeting place to be announced.
 
Rodney Huckabee moved to adjourn and it was seconded.
