Minutes of our meeting with Special Olympics
 
Members of Star 447 met on December 12, 2009 at 3 p.m. to present our donation to Mississippi Special Olympics.  Members present were Carolyn and Rodney Huckabee, Larry Grubbs, John Gray, Jean and Bob Grobe, Clyde Graham, Steve Leslie, Kedar Abaied, and Ray Coulter.  Also present was Shannon Beaver, photographer, Madison Police Department.
 
Our donation was based on the funds we raised with our Shot Gun raffle.  Accepting our donation in the amount of $1400.00 was Janie Allen, Director of Special Olympics, Mississippi.  Mrs. Allen briefly informed us about the activities of the organization and invited us to help escort the torch to the games at Keesler Air Force Base in 2010. 
 
Pictures were made of the presentation of the check as well as various group pictures.
